About the farm
Piambong Creek Farm Tours are held on our 1700 acre working farm situated 25 kms from the heart of Mudgee. We have 2000 sheep and 60 cattle, a working vegetable garden, a small orchard of stone fruit, apples, olives, figs, quinces and almonds as well as bee hives!
Our tour business came about with the growing realisation that the agricultural community needs to foster a connection with the consumers of the wonderful products we raise. Visiting friends and family have long enjoyed our drives around the farm and we wanted to give people, who may not have a farming connection, that same opportunity.
Immersive, personalised tours for up to 5 guests
At Piambong Creek Farm Tours, we offer 2.5 hour Farm Tours inclusive of morning or afternoon tea straight from our farm kitchen. Guests have the flexibility to choose between a morning session commencing at 9:30 am or an afternoon session starting at 1:30 pm. We are more than happy to accommodate any specific time variations to better align with your travel schedule.
Our tours can host up to 5 guests for the designated booking rate, ensuring an intimate and engaging experience for all participants. Indulge in a delectable grazing board featuring home-baked treats from our garden's fresh seasonal produce.
This delightful spread is neatly packed in our buggy, providing you the liberty to choose a picturesque spot to unwind and relish the farm-to-table goodness. The tour ambience is characterized by a laid-back and entertaining atmosphere, tailored to cater to your specific interests. Be it inquiries about our farm operations or management practices, all questions are welcomed
and encouraged.

About your host farmers
Beth and Don and their two boys have farmed in the Piambong district for over 10 years. We are passionate about the livestock we breed, the health of our land and the native wildlife it supports. Sharing a little of what we get to enjoy every day with you is a real privilege.
Beth, your primary tour guide, is a 4th generation grazier who grew up in the outback, northern South Australia on cattle and sheep stations. She studied Environmental Science and has worked in that field with farming communities across SA, Qld and now NSW.
Don's agricultural experience, sustainable land management practices and determined attitude towards fixing everything that breaks keep the farm operating and improving.

Piambong Creek Produce
We offer a range of small-batch preserves such as jams, chutneys and pickles. Everything is made by hand right here in our farm kitchen. Piambong Creek proudly uses produce grown on our family farm near Mudgee. What we don’t grow we gather from friends & family or purchase locally. Availability is seasonally dependent.
We supply stockists in Mudgee or our produce can be purchased from our on-farm stall after your Piambong Creek Farm Tour.

Not at all! Every tour is different and what we look at and talk about is tailored to match the age, interest and previous (if any) farm experience of each visiting group.
-
Our tour vehicle buggy is open air - no windows! So please dress appropriately for the weather. Hats and sun protection in summer and jackets and beanies for the colder months. Covered shoes are also a good idea to keep your feet clean and safe. You may also wish to bring your water bottle. Oh, and questions! Bring lots of those.

While we are not a petting zoo we do have some special old pets living out in the paddocks that still enjoy a scratch behind the ear. We cannot guarantee that we will find them on tour or that they will be in the mood for a pat! For your safety, our overly exuberant working dogs are kept out of the way for the duration of your visit.

As a biosecurity precaution, we are sorry, but we can't allow your pets onto our farm. We also have many young livestock (lambs and calves) as well as working dogs which may be put at risk from unpredictable pet behaviour. Thank you for understanding.
